Temporary Hiatus

As many, if not all, of you know, I was recently diagnosed with a rare form of arthritis at just 30 years old, one year after having completed the Tough Mudder 30 minutes faster than I had trained to.

With everything going on, it has become necessary for me to take a small break from blogging.  While I usually blog through whatever might be happening in my world with a honest and raw look at it all, in this particular instance I am finding that I am overwhelmed with the trying to keep up on blogging while beginning all the new medications and making it to all my appointments.

I will still be around a bit on social media so I invite you to follow my very boring life via Facebook and Twitter, and I will still be pinning snarky and mean crap on Pinterest, so feel free to follow me there as well.

I do not have a time frame for this break, but hope it won’t be too long before life is settled into a somewhat manageable routine and I can be back to writing.

About A Girl

A Girl is a 20 something blogger who began blogging in 2008 as a means of coping with a deployment. She is a Veterinary Technician by trade and loves her work in Emergency and Critical Care. She is married to a 11 year veteran of the USMC reserves, whom she meet shortly after he returned from a deployment. They have been married for four years, have three, very bratty dogs, and are currently trying to muddle through the aftermath of a difficult deployment for both.

  1. Sometimes we just have to step back and focus on getting through, getting back on our feet again – whether it’s the first few days of a rough deployment, a serious health issue (ours or a family member’s), or something else urgent and time-consuming. Hope the medicines work without taking a toll on you.

  2. Thanks for sharing. A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. First things first, and YOU should be first. Rest assured, your followers will be waiting for you when you’re ready to begin blogging again. Blessings and prayers for you on this journey.

  4. Take care of yourself. That’s the most important part. The cyberworld will still be here upon your return, as well as your friends and followers.
