Real Conversations with A Girl: Getting Dressed

In case there was ever any doubt as to exactly what I am like in real life, I will share with you a real conversation I had with a friend via text message.  I may joke that A Girl is my blogging persona, but I’m only half joking…

** This is part of a series I started a while ago that are all real, transcribed conversations I’ve had with friends.  They all give their permission for me to share them.

Her: How are you feeling? I was still planning to come see you tomorrow if you’re up for it. I will definitely need some sympathy after getting my taxes done.

Me: LOL I was totally just about o text to see if you were still coming up J

Her: That’s my plan! My tax appt is at 3 in (city name). I have no idea how long it will take.  I’m totally overwhelmed

Me: I feel ya on that. Taxes suck!  Just gimmie a call when you are on your way and I’ll put real clothes on LOL

Her: Meh you don’t have to

Me: Good cuz it was an empty promise

About A Girl

A Girl is a 20 something blogger who began blogging in 2008 as a means of coping with a deployment. She is a Veterinary Technician by trade and loves her work in Emergency and Critical Care. She is married to a 11 year veteran of the USMC reserves, whom she meet shortly after he returned from a deployment. They have been married for four years, have three, very bratty dogs, and are currently trying to muddle through the aftermath of a difficult deployment for both.
