The Choice to Be Anonymous as a Blogger is a Personal One
Something I encounter a lot, and I mean A LOT, is people wanting to know why I am anonymous. I know I’ve written about how hard it can be to stay anonymous and about the reason I like being anonymous, but I don’t know that I’ve ever shared the reasons behind the choice. It isn’t a choice. I did not choose to be anonymous nor did I want to be initially. And while I have grown used to it and it’s become second nature to refer to myself in the third person, use nicknames and generally hide my info, it was not what I wanted nor set out to achieve.
