Anyone who knows me in real life knows that I don’t do “down time” well. I do not like to sit and watch TV and do nothing. As a result, I tend to over commit, over extend and generally over do it. I am not someone who is good at taking time out for myself and even when I say I’m going to, I secretly check email or work while pretending to read my book.
Recently, Simple Skin Care asked me what I do to relax. Uh… Relax? What’s that!?
Between my husband constantly being gone for military stuff, or working on it from home for that matter, it often gets left up to me to do everything else. When I got sick a few months ago, that wasn’t an option, but I still wasn’t actually relaxing, I was worrying. It was a good remind that no matter what is going on in life, it’s important to really take time for YOU.
So what did I do? I took all the tools that Simple Care offered to practice, practice, PRACTICED!
I lounge around in my fabulous bathrobe and watch TV. So much in fact, that my husband has started mocking the fact that I sit around in a bathrobe. I light a candle while taking a bubble bath (man have I missed those!) and I can’t rave enough about Simple Care products. Seriously.
I have very sensitive skin and have been using their skin care line for a while now and adore it. 1. It’s very gentle 2. It’s not overly scented so I get a refreshing and clean feeling 3. I always feel a little extra fabulous after using them. Something about the soft skin that I get. Their products never leave my skin feeling dry or oily. And best of all, it’s available at the commissary so i can always try out all their new products right away!
These wipes happen to be my favorite product right now. I’m sort of obsessed with how nicely my skin feels and they are prefect for when I’m too tired to do much else.
It is so important to take time for you and make sure that you are taking care of yourself. Whether it taking a little time to read a book in quiet or going for a stroll in the park, that time is important to recuperate and rejuvenate. So give it a try! Listen to some music while drinking a glass of wine, have a nice night out with friends and take a break from life, or simply take a bath and shut out the world. Just be sure you are taking care of you!!!

I love to relax with an at home spa day and a good soak in the bath!
Sadly, my “me” time is usually watching some crappy tv show after the kids go to sleep

exercise is the best way for me to relax!
My skin has become sensitive since having my baby. It’s really quite frustrating, My skin gets red and angry with me often with the use of products I used to love. I am always on the lookout for new “sensitive” skin stuff, to keep my skin pretty and happy.

I don’t get much time to relax and take care of myself, but pedicures are my favorite way to pamper myself, and it’s been a while.

If I’m really stressed, I’ll lock the bathroom door and take a bath.
